CLAWS
Heavy Hitter X Steel Force
Never have we been so excited to start breeding sows as we are to his guy. His mother was a young gilt that got shown the 2nd half of the 2022 show season. Besides winning a few jackpots , her highlights included Champion Dark Cross at the Iowa Swine Jackpot
Series Finale and a being a class winner at WPX and 5th overall on her division being the lightest pig there.
The sow side is a Steel Force X Anchor Man. Steel Force was a Stay Classy son that stood at Top Cut and was also the sire of our Reserve Dark Cross barrow at 2023 OYE.
These guy is seeing use in some of the best herds in the nation, and we are truly appreciative of their belief in our program here at LG and what this boar can do for them. His littermate barrows stood 1st and 2nd respectfully at San Antonio and San Angelo.

BOARDWALK
NO INTRODUCTION X VICIOUS
As Breeders, we all get pigs that stand out in their contemporary group that we are proud to parade in front of people, but this is one pig that I had to quit showing people last fall. Even though pig buying costumers all understood why I was keeping him and the need to retain him, it made selling pigs really hard when you compare others to this one, no matter how good they were in their own right, how many shows those others have already won this season, BOARDWALK belittled them. As a freak legged, short backed, shaggy, cocky attitude, dense featured one, the odds are the running gear won’t stay good enough or he won’t get big enough. This one defied those odds and matured into an absolute BA!!
Stuck growing up in the boar barn; time, labor and facilities kept this one from getting fluffed up or darkened in. I was just glad we got snow to melt an open spot in the yard to go out. Similar barrow proportions to his successful and popular sire, BOARDWALk takes shag, density and bone up a notch (or two).
His dam, 60-3 has been the go-to sow here for the last 24 months. Though I didn’t realize what I had when she was first mated here, her pigs quickly dominated the nursery every time, no matter what they were sired by. After realizing to hone in on her and make her a priority, she’s rewarded us with 13 daughters kicking ass in production, as well as 4 sisters to this guy waiting in the on deck circle.
Without rolling out a big list, 60-3’s most recent highlight is being the grand mother of Caleigh’s state fair barrow /jackpot barrow last summer.

DEFINITELY DIFFERENT
STINK BUG X GRAND ENTRANCE
When your given lemons, make lemonade !! That’s how DEFINITELY DIFFERENT came about. His mother is a purebred Hampshire, littermate to Direct Approach our $85,00 Champion Boar from the Exposition. Long story short, through a little miscommunication here, she got 1 dose of STINK BUG put in her, followed by 2 doses of Hamp. And, of course with my luck, the first dose of Stink Bug is what took. Fortunately, it was the right mix of CRUEL INTENTIONS blood with exotic Hampshire. Two littermate barrows were Res. Champion Crossbred – Purebred Influenced at 2021 NJSS in Louisville, the other was Res. Grand at our county fair.
DD is what the picture shows. Big limbs, big groovy back, killer proportions and balance. Add in the fact that he is ½ Hamp with littermates that competed against the best crosses, and he should move you forward phenotypically, while helping with color pattern and consistency.
STINK BUG
BIG BLING X HEAT SEEKER
With the huge success of Cruel Intentions (Cruel Intentions son) and Big Bling we are super excited to add the next step of this bloodline into our boar line-up.
Stink Bug is the shorter bodied, bigger legged, stouter featured version of Big Bling, and still offers the top shape and front end extension that the Cruel Intension pigs are known for.
